The Australian Textiles Network is a new program launched by Australasian Circular Textiles Association (ACTA) in 2021. Sustainability Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) are network partners, supporting the network to drive action across the textile sector.

Sustainability Victoria is supporting the Research Hub for Transformation of Reclaimed Waste Resources to Engineered Materials and Solutions for a Circular Economy (TREMS). The Hub – coordinated by RMIT University – aims to deliver novel solutions for reclaiming Australia’s waste resources and position Australia as a leader in research contributing to a circular economy.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), and Sustainability Victoria, collaborated with LaunchVic in 2020-21 to work with start-ups to develop innovative circular economy solutions that help businesses reduce food waste. Through CivVic Labs, an 8-month incubator program, Yume Food developed a solution to redistribute food through a digital platform and achieve greater scale by exploring new features.
We collaborated with Dairy Australia in early 2021 to deliver two interactive events focused on building a world-class, circular dairy sector.
